Night Bee
The Worker Bees meet 2 times a month at the Moore County Senior Center. One does not have to be a member of the senior center to attend. People bring their own projects, some bring machines, some hand sewing, or other.

Linda James - Dresden Plates-Not Outdated After All
Linda James will present a program and workshop on the Dresden Plate block and its variations.
Although the Dresden plate block has been around for a long time, it has experienced a rebirth and transformation. If you like traditional, modern or dramatic quilt style, Dresden plates can be your next exciting quilt block. The program will include many pictures and some quilts showing the many looks of a Dresden plate.
Dresden Plate Workshop (12-4pm Our Saviour Lutheran Church). The workshop will focus on construction, including tips and tricks to make them lay flat, innovative settings, variations, ways to attach (no appliqué required) and suggestion for quilting.

Lynn Christiansen - From Passport to Patchwork
Lynn Christiansen of Emerald Falls Quilts will take the audience on a creative journey inspired by a trip down the Rhine River. This presentation showcases the quilts A Viking View, Castor's Light, Dutch Porcelain, and the Rhine River Sampler detailing how the stunning landscapes, medieval castles, and historic towns along the Rhine River influenced the design and composition of the piece.
Souvenir Stitching Workshop will follow
Students will learn how to transform their travel photos into unique quilt blocks, capturing memories through fabric and design.

Stitch Books by Susan Edmonson
Susan Edmonson is a talented quilt maker and fiber artist known for her unique and creative designs. She has been in the quilting world since 1981 and has developed a distinctive style that incorporates folk art, crazy quilted purses, wall quilts, and "flower doodles." Her work often features mixed media techniques, beading, and embroidery.
Susan will lead a workshop on creating Stitch Books on Wednesday, Sep 17 (9-4) at Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
Workshop Fee: $40 for members, $50 for guests

Susan Edmonson - Stitch Books
Susan Edmonson will share her artistry and passion for fiber arts. She majored in art at Queens University in Charlotte, NC, and has not slowed down since. She has been a quilt designer, hosted art retreats, traveled to shops all over the country to teach, and is a Bernina Ambassador. She loves sharing the passion she has for quilting, stitching and creating with everyone.

Blooming Arts
The exhibition, featuring a festival of floral arrangements interpreting art, will be held in the Arts Council of Moore County galleries at Campbell House.
Sandhills Quilters Guild will be represented by a gorgeous Crazy Quilt made by June Pernice for her daughter titled “For Seana”. Her quilt will be complemented by a beautiful floral arrangement.
General admission is $20.

Quilts of Valor National Sew Day
We are once again joining in on this annual event, the first Saturday in February, this year it will take place on Feb 1st.
We will be there from 9 am -5 pm, but come for whatever time works for you. Bring along a portable machine and we will have all the rest to make some quilts for active military and veterans who have been touched by war.
We plan to present some quilts to local recipients at 11 am. And we will have some soups and snacks, small hourly door prizes.

Guild Meeting: Tie One On
We will be gathering once again to tie comfort quilts and reconnect with friends after the holidays. Please bring a needle with a large eye (for floss) - curved or straight - and thread snips.
