The program for September will be prepping for the Quilting in the Pines show.
City Bag Workshop (Tuesday, Sep 15 12 - 4pm, Wednesday, Sep 16, 9am - 3pm) The Workshop on Tuesday afternoon, continuing on Wednesday, will be presented by Ellene Place. She will teach making a bag from one of Aunties Two City Bag patterns. The bag comes in three sizes, Downtown, Midtown, and Uptown. Patterns can be purchased at wingspancrafts.com. Choose your preferred size. The skill level for this workshop is intermediate. It is not recommended for beginners. The structured stays for the bag are included with the pattern. The Foam interfacing and handle material will be available for purchase from the instructor for what she paid for it ($28/yard), if you don’t purchase the kit. An optional additional supply is interfacing for the pockets available from Ellene also.
A full size sewing machine with a walking foot or even feed is mandatory. You need the larger throat that a featherweight doesn’t have.
