The Applique Society 
The Applique Society has a newsletter that is quite informative and has "book notes and reviews" of quilt books, profiles of members, and very opten, applique patterns.  Dues are $20. per year.   More information on this organization can be found at http://www.theappliquesociety.org.
 
The Baltimore Album Society has a newsletter that discusses quilt study, quilt history, and keeping the "Baltimore Quilt Tradition" alive.  Dues are $20. per year.  More information on this organization can be found at http://www.baltimoreapplique.com
  
North Carolina Quilters Guild  
The North Carolina Quilters Guild was formed in 1991, and is dedicated to promoting, preserving, and perpetuating the art of quilting in North Carolina. NCQ membership is open to any individual with an interest in quilting and a willingness to learn and share with others. Meetings are currently held twice a year (March and September) at the Caraway Conference Center near Asheboro. Workshops are conducted on a wide range of topics, and the NCQ newsletter is published four times a year. The website is www.NorthCarolinaQuilters.org.
 
The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover ALL war wounded and injured servicemembers and veterans from the War on Terror whether physical or psychological wounds, with Wartime quilts called Quilts of Valor (QOVS).   This foundation is not about politics.
